TAAC'2011

First International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Theoretical and applied aspects of cybernetics" has taken place on 21-25 February 2011 on the Cybernetics Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

The conference was organized by:

• Scientific Community of Students and Postgraduates of Cybernetics Faculty.
• Cybernetics Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv .
• V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of NAS of Ukraine .
• Institute of Software Systems of NAS of Ukraine .

Within the conference sessions of 3 sections have taken place:

• Informatics and Computer Sciences.
• Applied Mathematics.
• System Analysis.

in which 108 participants from 13 countries have taken part: Ukraine, Russia, Belorussia, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Moldavia, Turkey, Great Britain. In total 34 universities and 4 research institutes have been represented at the conference.

There were 3 open lectures during the conference:

• Functional programming with F#
• Face recognition for augmented reality and media
• Parallel programming in .NET

Conference participants were able to enjoy Kyiv tour and party in Ukrainian style. The brightest moments are reflected in the photo archive.
